Throwaway design- Color Pedigree

Another day, another throwaway design. Mostly to try to see how many colors I could create through mixing six colors, and using an illustration I use in my bio class.

Vote by clicking on the design. Overall I'm not terribly satisfied by it- I could have done so much more with it, but I just wanted to sub it before I went to bed. Never a good idea.

Fire and Water- opposite personalities

New design- playing off that two brothers tend to be opposites of each other. One is an extrovert, and the other not so much. It's very colorful, and has been likened to the Firefox logo due to the color scheme. Perhaps if I had used a more reddish palate it would have looked different. Sigh.

vote if ya got em here,

Slow Day

Nothing in the shirt.woot derby this week, so I have very little to add in the way of content. So I might as well talk about some old design I liked.

A long time ago, I had an idea for an art series- MechanArt. Mechanical-designed biology illustrations. I have been making them over the years (30+ now), and I've been able to make several into illustrations and shirt. This is the first one, which I always called "Rode Runner". It had a poem that went with it (a haiku actually), and entered both for the yearly poetry collection in my High school. They were supposed to go together, but they printed the poem but not the art that inspired it.

This design took me about a day, converting from an ink/pencil sketch years ago into the digital realm of line drawings. Came out nice too. The background is the only crappy part, one that I should have worked on harder to fit with the overall design.

Need for Speed

I decided to sub a design I did for the Deadly Sins Derby all those months ago for shirt.woot. It was a design I worked on for several days, only to realize I was scooped by another artist (another sloth with a jetpack). While mine was not as good, I decided to shelve it in the hope that eventually it would see the light of day. THe current derby of flight gave me that opportunity. While from a simpler time of me attempting a graphics tablet, it's cute for what it is.

Feel free to vote for it if you have a derby vote at woot here.
